In some areas of the Geidam community in Yobe state, Boko Haram has raised its flag.

This comes just two days after terrorists allegedly targeted the state’s Geidam local government district.

Mr. Usman Alkali Baba, the acting Inspector General of Police, is from Geidam.

Some residents told Channels Television that the insurgents had hoisted their flags in some parts of their neighbourhood and were going from house to house preaching to them to embrace their ideology.

While the Army battalion in Geidam is still present in the community, the insurgents have continued to spread their missions.

Some telecommunication networks have already been tempered, causing communication to suffer.

Many families are in a state of panic because they are unable to connect with their relatives in the group.
