Fear of attack prompts the Kano government to close schools

For fear of a security breach, the Kano state government has declared the immediate closure of Bagauda Technical College.

The Kano State Government has ordered the immediate closure of Bagauda Technical College, citing “disturbing security reports” and the need to protect the school’s students and employees.

“In response to concerning security reports, we hereby announce the immediate closure of Bagauda Technical College in order to protect the lives of the college’s students and employees.

“We urge parents and guardians to remove their children from school immediately while they await further guidance.

“I want to thank the state government parents and guardians for their unwavering support and cooperation on government policies and directives, especially on security-related matters,” the commissioner said to reporters.
