Cristiano Ronaldo’s rape accuser seeks N252 billion in restitution for past pain, future pain, and suffering

According to newly released court records, former model Kathryn Mayorga is suing football star Christian Ronaldo for $56 million (about N252 billion) in damages after accusing him of sexually assaulting her in a Las Vegas hotel room in 2009.

She is seeking £18 million in compensation for “past pain and suffering,” £18 million in compensation for “economic pain and suffering,” and £18 million in punitive damages.

The 37-year-expenses old’s exceed £1.4m, with legal costs totaling £1.1m, for a total of £56.5m – the equivalent of two years’ salary for the Juventus player.

According to the UK Mirror, Ronaldo, 36, strongly rejects Mayorga’s allegations.

She received $375,000 (£270,000) in an out-of-court non-disclosure settlement in 2010.

Mayorga, on the other hand, filed a civil lawsuit in Las Vegas three years ago, claiming she was “mentally incapacitated” when she agreed to it and signed it under duress.

Her legal team has sent a list of more than 60 witnesses who are willing to testify.

They include Jasmine Lennard, 35, a British former Big Brother star who says she dated the former Manchester United ace ten years ago.

Three police officers who investigated the initial complaint are also on the list, as are Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli, Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes, and advisor Andy Quinn.

Ronaldo has said, “I categorically refute the allegations levelled against me.”

“Raping is an abominable act that contradicts everything I am and believe in.”
