According to Peter Obi, Nigeria is on the verge of becoming a failed state

Former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi has urged Nigerians of all political stripes to work together to address the country’s challenges.

Insecurity, hunger, and unemployment were identified as challenges by Obi, who ran for Vice President in the 2019 general elections.

According to him, Nigeria is on the verge of becoming a failed state, and the downward trend must be stopped.

“All Nigerians, regardless of party or other affiliations, should urgently band together to confront the spectre of instability, poverty, and unemployment that is now ruling and ruining our dear country. We are rapidly devolving into a failed state.

“We cannot go on this downward spiral. “The government can also request international assistance as soon as possible,” he said on Twitter.

Obi made the remarks in the midst of assaults on police officers and units in his home area of the South-East.
