The national leadership of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has reported the kidnapping of Kogi Chairman Wakili Damina.
Baba Othman Ngelzarma, General Secretary of MACBAN, spoke to DAILY POST on Tuesday evening.
Damina and the attackers, who were clad in military uniform, have not been heard from, according to the official.
“We haven’t heard from him in a long time. I communicate with the secretary on a regular basis; we talked two hours ago. We don’t have any details yet, because we don’t know who they are.”
Ngelzarma went on to say that Damina’s whereabouts were unclear and that the kidnappers had yet to demand a ransom payment.
A gang kidnapped the MACBAN chieftain on the afternoon of April 30. In a white bus, they raided his house in Chikara village, Kogi Local Government.
Damina’s younger brother witnessed the attack, according to Adamu Abubakar, MACBAN Secretary in Kogi. The captive’s phone number is now unlisted.
Ede Ayuba, Commissioner of Police, informed NAN that the security force has yet to find the Chairman.
The command’s operatives have begun a search and rescue mission.
