Bukola Adeeyo, a high-flying Yoruba actress, has argued in favour of those who engage in sex prior to marriage. While the Holy Books frown upon it, she believes it has some merits, and she explains in an interview with Potpourri some time ago why it was never published.
“Premarital sex has a number of advantages. There is peer acceptance, pleasure, and the satisfaction of sexual desire. On the downside, it violates our norms and values, resulting in unwanted pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), and guilt “she asserts.
Additionally, she disputes the notion that women are more sexually active than men.
“I respectfully disagree. Men, on the other hand, will always be men. They are born to be in charge, even when they are not sexually active; this is the natural order “she declares.
On a personal level, she states her feelings about sex “I am a very busy person who rarely has time for such things. I occasionally have sex, but I am not sexually active and am not a sex tool.”
Bukola Adeeyo began her acting career in 2008 under the banner of Odunlade Adekola Films Production (O.A.F.P.). She has since established herself as an industry force to be reckoned with.
